The Role
We are seeking a Senior Business Manager with 5+ years of experience in transaction services, accounting, FP&A, or similar analytical roles to join our team in Brooklyn, New York.
This role will support live client engagements and work directly on building structured, decision-ready datasets from messy real-world systems. You will operate across multiple projects, help reconcile operational data to financials, and contribute to the development of repeatable processes and internal intellectual property.
You will have exposure to client leadership teams andinvestors, while developing the skills to take on greater value creation responsibility over time
What You’ll Do
- Support client engagements focused on data clean up, reconciliation, and analysis
- Work across large datasets to structure and validate information
- Reconcile operational data to financial statements and management reporting
- Help build recurring reporting frameworks and data models
- Identify inconsistencies, gaps, and areas for improvement in client data environments
- Operate across multiple projects with urgency and strong organization
- Contribute to the development of scalable workflows and internal playbooks
Required Skillset
- 5+ years in transaction services, M&A, PE, due diligence, accounting, FP&A, consulting, or similar analytical roles
- Strong understanding of financial statements and related concepts including EBITDA, cash flow, and working capital
- Experience working with large, messy datasets
- Demonstrated interest in learning modern data tools (e.g., data warehouses, SQL, cloud environments)
- Coding experience not required, but intellectual curiosity about data systems is important
- Ability to operate independently and own problems and solutions end-to-end
- Comfort with ambiguity and early-stage environments
- Clear, direct communicator who can work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Entrepreneurial mindset and interest in building something from the ground floor
Nice to Have
- Experience with data warehouses, Power BI, Altreryx, or other BI too
- Consulting or client-facing experience
- Interest in applied AI tools and workflows
